Cal Women's Golf is proud to offer top collegiate-level instruction for juniors at Cal Golf Camps
The Cal Women's and Men's coaching staffs offer a day camp at UC Berkeley. The day program includes morning instruction at Metropolitan Golf Links practice facility for three hours followed by lunch and course play in the afternoon. Day campers are dropped off and picked up at Metropolitan Links in Oakland each day. The camp is offered for players of all skill-levels, ages 10-17.

Coach Nancy McDaniel serves as the head women's golf coach at Cal, directing one of the most nationally regarded golf programs in the country. She was recently inducted into the Women’s College Golf Association Hall of Fame in December 2016.

Our golf curriculum is the perfect blend of expert instruction, course play and fun! With the Division I coaching staff led by Nancy McDaniel, each Cal camper can expect to take their skills to new heights. Upon arrival, all players are grouped by age and skill level so they may receive instruction that is tailored to their needs.
Show Less View More DetailsThis program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 17. Cal Golf Camps provide young golfers with the tools to enjoy this great game for a lifetime. Our curriculum is the perfect blend of expert instruction, course play and fun! With an outstanding coaching staff led by Nancy McDaniel, each camper can leave at the end of the week feeling more confident about their game. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

- Schedule:
- Full Day: 8:45am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
- Check-In: 15 minutes prior to camp start time
- Lunch: Lunch is provided for full day campers.
- Program: The All Abilities program is designed to improve the fundamental skills needed for golf; putting, chipping/pitching, full-swing and course etiquette. Upon arrival, all participants will be evaluated by the instructors and placed into groups based on age and ability level.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning instruction and afternoon course play (for full day and advanced campers only)
- Lunch: Lunch is provided for full day campers.
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
- Camper Amenity Package: Campers will receive an amenity package including a hat, drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, camp workbook, and graduation certificate.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
- Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
- Facility: Metropolitan Golf Links
- Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING
US Sports Camps, UC Berkeley and Metropolitan Golf Links are NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. We recommend that you do not send unnecessary items of clothing, which can get lost. Camper bags may be inspected upon check in or at any time during camp to ensure no drugs, alcohol or other improper substances are brought to camp.
- Athletic clothing (t-shirts, shorts)
- Golf clubs
- Golf Balls/tees/glove
- Golf shoes or tennis/athletic shoes
- Collared shirt (recommended)
- Water bottle*
- Sunscreen**
- Hat/visor (Campers receive hat with amenity package)
- Snacks (optional)
- COVID PPE (as required by state/local guidelines)
- Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

*All Cal Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants. For your safety and benefit, we recommend you choose a camp that fits your level of development. All events are subject to change based on NCAA and Covid-19 restrictions. Due to high demand and limited capacity, prices are subject to increase as camp exceeds 25%/50%/75% capacity.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 8:45AM Arrive at golf course
- 9:00AM Instruction- Campers rotate through stations including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full-swing
- Noon Lunch at the golf course
- 1:00PM On-course instruction focusing on course management, club and type of shot selection, golf rules and etiquette
- 4:00PM Campers depart course (day campers picked up)
