Coach Rick Feller and US Sports Camps have announced Volleyball Camp dates for Summer 2017
San Rafael, CA: Head Volleyball Coach Rick Feller and US Sports Camps partner for another summer of volleyball camp at Cal Berkeley! Dates and details have been released on the Cal Sports Camps website for the 2017 season.
Rich Feller is entering his 18th season at the helm of the Golden Bears Women’s Volleyball Team and has become known as the most successful women’s volleyball coach in California history. Feller has crafted the Bears into a national powerhouse, with a school record of 12 consecutive postseason appearances, and has been named Volleyball Magazine’s National Volleyball Coach of the year twice, amongst numerous other accolades. His experience with the Bears, and his talent for coaching and teaching athletes has lent itself to his success as Camp Director of Cal Sports Camps Volleyball camps.
Cal offers intermediate camps for players within their first two years of experience, an advanced camp for high school and club level athletes, and a youth program designed for young players who are new to the game. With this variety of programs, athletes are sure to find a session to best fit their needs to improve their game this summer.
The Youth Camp is a full day camp for boys and girls ages 8-14, players learn the fundamentals of the game in small group and team settings. The Intermediate Camp is a full day camp for boys and girls entering grades 5-10 in the fall of 2017. Instruction includes refining technique and specific position work with a variety of attacking, setting, passing, and defensive skills. The Advanced Overnight Camp is intended for girls entering grades 9-12 who are advanced players looking to receive technical training and feedback to improve their skill set in all areas of the game. Sessions are designed to run like Cal college level practices to give players the opportunity to experience a higher level of training.
