Talk To and Learn From some of the Top Coaches In The Sport

We are excited to invite you and your staff to the 2026 Cal Football Coaches Clinic. Join us in Berkeley to meet our new coaching staff, led by Coach Lupoi. This is a great opportunity to talk X’s and O’s, connect with fellow coaches, and spend time talking ball.

This event is open to all High School, Junior College and 7 on 7 coaches.

The cost of the event is $60 which covers admission, dinner, and the social.

Cal Head Football Coach Tosh Lupoi

Tosh Lupoi, a former California defensive lineman and assistant coach known for his dynamic recruiting ability and who has enjoyed extensive success both in college and the NFL, was named the 35th head coach in program history on December 4, 2025.

Miami Dolphins Defensive Line Coach Austin Clark

Austin Clark joined the Miami Dolphins as outside linebackers coach in 2020 and was promoted to defensive line coach in 2021, helping the team post four consecutive winning seasons from 2020–23, one of only four NFL franchises to do so during that span, while earning playoff berths in 2022 and 2023, marking the organization’s first back-to-back postseason appearances since 1997–2001.

Travers Family Head Coach Tosh Lupoi named Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant quarterbacks coach Jordan Somerville the Golden Bears offensive coordinator on December 19, 2025.

Cal Defensive Coordinator Michael Hutchings

Travers Family Head Football Coach Tosh Lupoi announced the hiring of Michael Hutchings as the program's defensive coordinator on December 26, 2025. Hutchings comes to Berkeley after three seasons with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. For the last two years, he served as the team's safeties coach after being elevated from his role as an assistant defensive backs coach in 2023.
