Cal Beach Volleyball Announces Youth and Adult Beach Volleyball Camps for 2017
San Rafael, CA: US Sports Camps and Cal Beach Volleyball Head Coach, Meagan Schmitt, will be hosting youth beach volleyball and adult beach volleyball camps at Cal Berkeley’s Clark Kerr sand courts this summer! Dates and details have been released on Cal Sports Camps website for the 2017 season.
Volleyball players of all skill levels will have the unique opportunity to train with Coach Schmitt who is returning for her second season as camp director, and Coach Owen Monroy who is the newly announced assistant coach for the Golden Bears Beach Volleyball program.
Cal Beach Volleyball Camps focus on all aspects of the sport, including skill instruction, strategy, and game experience. With only two players per side, beach volleyball demands players to be proficient in serving, setting, and hitting, which helps players improve their beach and indoor skills. Cal’s Youth Beach Volleyball Camps are open to campers ages 12-18 to experience firsthand how intense it is to play doubles and train to become well rounded in all areas of the game while having fun and working alongside Cal’s coaches and current players. Players over the age of 18 are invited to attend Cal’s Adult Beach Volleyball Camps, which will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Adult players will work with coaches to refine their skills, and learn new techniques to better their beach volleyball game.
