After missing the playoffs last year, the Cal men’s soccer team used a strong year end road trip to earn a spot in the 2019 DI NCAA tournament on Monday morning. The Bears are lined up to play the UCSB Gauchos on Thursday in the first round in Santa Barbara, CA. The winner of this matchup takes on St. Mary’s on Sunday in the second round.

Although UCSB is favored for the match on Thursday, Cal has the lone season victory in the season matchup with a 3-0 win on the road in early September. "I'm proud of the way the team finished up this season," states Cal Men's Soccer Coach, Kevin Grimes, "I feel like we are hitting our stride at the right time and we are playing our best soccer."

US Sports Camps is proud to partner with the Men’s Cal Soccer Program. “We strive to bring top-notch programs to athletes,” states Renee Chapman, VP of US Sports Camps. “Having Cal in the tourney this year is exciting for our campers. For them to be coached by the same coaches coaching one of the top 24 programs for division I is an unmatched experience.”

The 2020 camp dates are expected to be released in January. Registration for the premier and youth camp sessions will then be open. Per NCAA rules, Cal Soccer Academy & Camps are open to any and all entrants. Enrollment in our camps is limited only by age, gender, and capacity restrictions as specified by each camp.

This camp provides the opportunity for players to reach their greatest potential by challenging them technically and tactically, in a fun and encouraging environment. More information can be found on the Cal Soccer Academy & Camps web page.
